I used to, but I don't anymore. There are so many factors that determine a couple's potential for long-term happiness. A lot of it depends on each person's personality and their ability and willingness to comprimise. No relationship is magically perfect.

And no, I don't believe in love at first sight, either. But for me, attraction at first sight is a must. I won't fall in love with someone who's physical appearance doesn't appeal to me just because they have a great personality and we get a long. I've tried it, and it doesn't work. Physical attraction is what makes the difference between platonic and romantic relationships, in my opinion.

I couldn't agree more. I tried the second one as well more than once, and if it the physical attraction is not there from the first moment you lay eyes on the person no amount of great personality, humour, making out or whatnot will make the thing raise over the platonic level of affection.

I disagree with you on 'true love' because I don't think it means 'perfect'. Hehe I answered the question too if you'd like to see. However I agree with your points.

I don't believe in love at first sight either though attraction for me is not just in looks *though* looks are a necessary factor. I must find my partner beautiful. Many things can act as a spark for me:) Sometimes the attraction starts before I even meet the person just by their description or writing or art...
