Happy Halloween/Samhain!
Oct. 31st, 2008 11:12 amI wish you all the best and spookiest.
A note of advice: Never put off costume shopping until the last minute. Actually, I didn't put it off. My friends waited until the last minute to decide that they were having a Halloween party, so I didn't think I would need a costume. I wear x-small, so its difficult to find one now that everything has been picked through. I went to three stores last night. Everything I liked was either too big, sold out, or so skimpy I'd be freezing my but off if I wore it.
Party City is such a mess. They have pictures of all the costumes hanging on the wall, and you have to tell the employee the costume number and size you want so that they'll give you a ticket and tell you to go on back to storage. You stand in line for an hour (I'm exaggerating only slightly) and then it turns out they don't have that costume in stock; nevermind, that they were supposed to check before you were told to go wait. It happened to me twice.
I think I'll just buy a red, hooded cloak and go as Little Red Riding hood. I'll wear it with a short black dress I have, fishnets, and boots. There's probably a basket for me to bring grandma her wine in somewhere in the basement.
In other news: The AS/S Winter Shorts Fest has kicked off today, and I'm so not looking forward to when my fics show up- especially one that didn't turn out quite like I wanted it to, but I ran out of time. Anyway, the stories posted so far have been great. If you're into H/D, but haven't read AS/S yet, I encourage you to give it a try ;)
