softly_sweetly, which led to some good ideas, but the story just doesn't look good on paper. Maybe I need to approach it from a different angle. For now, I'll let it rest because it's beginning to irritate me. Meanwhile, I'll try to come up with another cross gen idea. Feel free to throw some prompts my way!
