Off-topic: Why is it so difficult to proofread one's own fic? I just went back and read part one of my round table pr0n again and found about A THOUSAND typos. I scanned that thing twice before posting! *Goes to proofread part two for the third time*

I really need to find myself a Merlin!beta...

"Why is it so difficult to proofread one's own fic?" OMG YES. How is it that I can beta for other people and zoom in on typos and inconsistencies, but when I beta my own, I have to leave it for at least a day and then come back to it with a fresh eye, otherwise it is typos central. I did an exchange this winter; I read through the thing 15 times before submitting it; it was still littered with the buggers.

Yeah, a break does help. I guess it's that if you just finish it, you still remember what you wanted to write, so you're less likely to see a mistake on the page. Idk, but it blows.
